Ron Wilson was born in Dumfries in 1948. His love of painting was encouraged by a trainee draughtsman who lodged in his Grandmother's house

After studying at school under Robin Philipson, he later met up with him again when he was Head of Painting and Drawing at Edinburgh Art College.

His style has developed over the years through his love of colour mix and pronounced surfaces.

Ron lives and works in Edinburgh and is Father of musicians Ray (www.raywilson.net), Steve and Stuart.
